Museo Nicolis — Attraction in Villafranca di Verona

An outstanding and exceptional collection housed in a beautiful modern building. One of the highlights of our stay in the region. We traveled by bus - we would recommend taking the bus on the direct route (direction Garda/ Villafranca) rather than taking the airport shuttle and catching a bus from there - we tried this on the way out but the bus drove straight past the stop at airport arrivals, so we were forced to take a rip-off taxi. The bus stops are opposite the museum, so the return leg was easy and very cheap in comparison (contactless payment on board also!). Be careful with Google Maps directions as they sometimes put you on the wrong side of the road for the direction you are travelling in. The collection is super interesting if you love cars, bikes, bicycles and old machinery as we do. The attention to detail the descriptions and theming was just amazing. There is so much to see that after a couple of hours you start feeling overwhelmed (in a good way!). There is no cafe, however the vending machine sold very cold drinks at exceptionally fair prices. A beautifull collection! Car, bicycles, motorcycles... planes on the roof but also interesting musical instruments, cameras and typewriters from different epochas. Although the location is not central, you don't want to miss this museum! Its a celebration of the beauty technology and engineering, an omage to the eras when mechanical things were not mass produced plastic accessories, but carefully designed, complex contraptions, almost art. It’s a must to do! We arrived late,30 min before closing. I don’t remember the guy’s name but he was very kind and told us we need at least 1h to visit the whole museum. We knew this but we still wanted to visit and despite this he gave us a small discount. The museum a masterpiece and not only for car lovers,they have 3 floors and one is for old jukebox,bicycles or even jet engines.
