Socado — Local services in Villafranca di Verona

Socado Assorted Pralines: Socado was founded in Verona, Italy in 1975. This would explain why my nice Italian neighbors shared these with me. At first I thought these were truffles, but pralines are slightly different beyond their similar outwards appearance. All four flavors of these pralines had a crunchy texture due to the caramelization of sugar and the various fillings. Although the pralines were crunchy, they also had a smooth and creamy aspect to them as well. My biggest complaint is that neither the individual wrappers nor bag identify which flavor correlates with which color wrapping. In the off chance that you stumble upon these, the blue was milk & cereal (latte), green was hazelnut & cereal, white was meringue, and brown was biscuit (cookie). Honestly, they all tasted relatively similar. The hazelnut variety obviously had nutty notes and the meringue reminded me somewhat of marshmallow. They were good, but I prefer Lindor Truffles more and wouldn't seek these out on my own. Just...

Ho chiamato per ben 8 volte per avere una quotazione per un grosso cliente estero e non mi hanno saputo ne rispondere ne passato qualcuno del commerciale per poter avere delle risposte dopo aver predecentemente mandato diverse mails di sollecito.La motivazione e' stata perche' le colleghe erano impegnate a prepararsi per la fiera prossima a cui dovevano partecipare. Ho aperto un uovo di cioccolato al latte. A tutta prima il sapore non sembra male, ma dopo poco si avverte un retrogusto decisamente sgradevole. Guardando l'uovo ho anche notato sulla superficie del cioccolato una patina biancastra che non depone molto a favore della freschezza del prodotto. Orribile, anche perché è una delle uova vendute da una associazione per finanziare importanti iniziative di carattere sociale. Una stella, ma solo perché senza non si può scrivere...
