This park has many historical buildings. If you visit this park, you will be able to learn a lot about the history of the local area. There is a collection of historical buildings that you can explore, a sculpture garden, and a large beautiful rose garden that blooms in Early-Mid May. On a clear day you can see a good view of Mt. Fuji framed by the beautiful scenery of the park. There is also a free museum that showcases the history of Fuji, and most recently was renovated to add a section dedicated to Kaguyahime. Better know in English as the "Bamboo Cutter and the Moon Princess", Kaguyahime is a Japanese folk tale where an old man finds a tiny girl inside a glowing bamboo shoot.
