It was our first time glamping and we enjoyed very much. The dome is very comfortable and cozy, very clean, the beds are amazing, the air conditioner works well, all things inside are modern and made to make you feel welcome and relaxed.
The environment outside is peaceful and relaxing although there is not too much things to do but I believe the goal is relax so it’s doing the work. There are a small playground for the kids, my son enjoyed a lot. Every dome has it’s one private space outside with a table/chairs covered by a small tent, with a barbecue grill and also a small fireplace. We enjoyed having dinner together outside.
The bathrooms looks very new, and they are super clean. The staffs were working hard checking and cleaning the toilets every time they see someone using it. It’s just two toilets for women and two for men, and at first I thought it wouldn’t work well as there are 6 domes with families but in the end I saw they managed to make it work. There are just one shower room for women and one for men, and also a bathtub that I believe could be bigger. They have a schedule for use the bathtub, one hour for each dome, and for us worked well too.
The staffs are very polite, and they made everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable all time super hard working, we are thankful for them.
The dinner menu was very good too, but for us too much food, we were sad that there was so much food leftover and we couldn’t manage to eat everything. Well served and delicious.
In the other side the breakfast is very disappointing :-( They give you a picnic basket after the dinner with some cheese and bacon sandwiches, juice box, yogurt, and coffee beans so you can do it by yourself in the morning. There is a toaster and a small coffee machine inside the dome and some mugs. But there weren’t plates, napkins or other utensils to make the breakfast better.
I believe this is a sad negative side that could get better with some improvement. They could take the breakfast same as they take the dinner and give us more options to eat some fresh food. Like some eggs/omelette, fruits, cakes, breads, milk and tea and some other things.
Well generally the experience was good and our only complain is about the breakfast.
We would love to come back some day.
Thank you for...
Read moreTHIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. I will remember it forever. As someone who grew up camping in the states, glamping and specifically glamping by Mount Fuji has been at the top of my bucket list. Tocoro’s glamping was FABULOUS. It is a magical, romantic place. We stayed in Jupiter and had a clear view of Mount Fuji. The dome was large, spacious, cozy, and well-heated. They provide a projector and there’s something special about watching on the wall of a dome…it really felt like our own private movie theater looming over us. They provide you breakfast and dinner - all of which is thoughtfully and intricately prepared. Our first dinner included wagyu, freshly roasted chicken, camembert, prosciutto salad, etc…so fancy! Our second dinner was a warm and easy nabe (hot pot). Breakfasts consisted of sandos, fruits, yogurt and granola, almond milk, juice, coffee…..They have a little stall you can also buy local beers from. The bathrooms are very clean and I was surprised by the private hot tub. I was not expecting such a nice hot tub while camping. It was the most modern hot tub we stayed at during our entire Japan trip and we stayed at 5 different places total. It truly felt like a luxury glamping experience.
We were there during a very cold, windy few days in February so eating outside wasn’t completely pleasant as the wind was violent. They provided heaters and tarps for us. The weather is to be expected as we chose this time. Please don’t blame them if there is bad weather - at the end of the day this is still camping. If you are expecting a hotel, this is not it.
Their bicycles were in maintenance so instead they provided us with a shuttle to the nearby Oishi Park we wanted to go to. I appreciated them doing this for us to make up for the lack of bicycles they marketed. They also provided shuttle to and from Kawaguchiko station when we checked in and checked out. It was very smooth and all the workers were kind. Please try this place, you...
Read moreStayed two nights in Saturn Dome with my wife for our anniversary. The dome was spacious (can accommodate 6 but realistically 4), good air-conditioning, nice beds and there was a projector for your Netflix, etc. Yes, there is WiFi. Outside, there was a hammock, dining table, BBQ grill and campfire stove (firewood supplied). All the domes have Mt Fuji view. The tents are further in the woods thus may not have a direct view of Mt Fuji. The dome rates include breakfast and dinner. Both days the meals were delicious and were just right for the both of us. Meal times are fixed for each dome which revolves around the bathing time. Each dome gets 60 minutes in the private onsen/jacuzzi/shower. The times are fixed and can’t be changed. Therefore, you might want to check the bathing times and meal times before you choose which dome to book. For us, the times worked out perfect! Dinner for Saturn is 5pm and bath time is 7:30-8:30pm. There is a shower and toilets a short walk from the domes. Reception is manned from 8:30am-9pm. Communications after hours is mainly through WhatsApp or Line. There are ramens, drinks and snacks available for sale at the reception. Drinks are also available from a vending machine outside the reception. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The campsite is about 20mins walk from Oishi Park. There is no public transportation. They provide a complimentary shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station at 11am with pickup at 2:30pm. Times are fixed. If you need to get back to the camp at other times, you can take the red Omni bus from Kawaguchiko Station to Oishi Park then walk back to the camp. The last red Omni bus from Kawaguchiko station is 5:45pm. Overall, it was a very good...
