Beautiful shrine on Fuji's peak with plenty of benches and windbreaks for hikers. The shrine does not open until 0600, so if you arrive at 0400 to watch the sunset. be prepared to wait or skip the final stamp. it is extremely cold, even when it's hot in the city, and it's hard to carry extra clothes when it's blazing, but you will need winter clothes to survive. There is a temple and next to that you can get a quick snack if udon or ramen which after hiking up the mountain taste very good. A quick rest and a snack and check out the temple then back down the mountain. Very cool climb and worth the hike to climb a great overall experience...
