Went here many years ago and am shocked it’s still open. I agree with other reviewers, the staff was cold, rude and unprofessional. The few indoor baths were “fine” - not up to “onsen town levels” but fine; but when I went to the outdoor bath, it was empty with a hose and a few dead leaves lying in it. When I asked why, the only answer I got was “休みです” (it’s not open). “I can see that, why isn’t it open?” “休みですので” (Because it isn’t open). 昭和レトロを感じる銭湯のような下呂温泉の外湯です。370円（2020年）の入泉料＋900円の個室料を払い、源泉掛け流しの貸切り浴槽（家族風呂）を利用しました。浴槽の湯は源泉の熱い湯なので、脱衣場に扇風機がなく汗だくで着替えました。（マイナス★） お湯は下呂温泉街の中でも非常に湯質がいいです。 浴槽は3人から4人くらい入れる大きさです。ボディーソーブ、シャンプーは備え付けられています。ドライヤーもあります。 家族風呂は900円のA.Bの2室とサウナ付きC室2000円が有ります。

追記 2021年1月　入泉料は400円に上がっていました。貸切り風呂の脱衣所には扇風機とエアコンが設置されていました！（★プラス）

追記 2024年1月　入泉料430円　外装、内装、露天風呂がリニューアルされていて綺麗になりました。人手不足でしばらくの間、平日は家族風呂がやっていません。営業時間も短縮されています。

It is the outside hot spring of Gero spring like Sento which feels the retro in the Showa era. I paid 370 yen of spring-in fee + 900 yen private room fee, and we used a private bathing tub with source sinking. Because the hot water in the bathtub is hot water of the source, I changed my clothes because there was no fan in the dressing room and it got sweaty. ( －★) Hot water is very good even in the gero hot spring city. The bathtub is large enough to accommodate 3 to 4 people. Body soap and shampoo are provided. There is also a hairdryer. There are two family baths, A.B, which are 900 yen, and C room, which has a sauna, for 2000 yen.

postscript As of January 2021, the entrance fee had risen to 400 yen. A fan and an air conditioner were installed in the dressing room of the private bath!

There was free parking available on site if you happen to be driving. It was a decent place although it looked a little rundown and I did not notice and outdoor types (if you're into those). The staff were also attentive and polite. Remember to buy your tickets first at the machine upon entering before passing them to the front desk personnel who will then guide you along.
