Iwakiyama Shrine — Attraction in Hirosaki

Super beautiful place to stop by if you’re in the Hirosaki area. There are restrooms near the parking lot with western style toilets. You can buy soft serve ice cream at the building across the street from the parking lot as well. There are ramen and soba places to the right and left as you pass the first Tori Gate. It took my girlfriend and I around 25 minutes to walk up to the shrine and back to the parking lot at a LEISURE pace. You could probably see it in 10 if you wanted. It’s beautiful and time of year.

20200404ニュースで新型コロナウイルス感染防止のため4/10(金)夕方からGW明けまで弘前公園立入禁止になると流れていたので、急遽第1回弘前市弾丸ツアーに行って来ました！ 「弘前城」の周辺の参拝を済ませ、時間に余裕が無くなってきたので「岩木山神社」へ向かいます！ 津軽国一宮、岩木山神社です。 1091年、十腰内にある巌鬼山神社からこの地へ奉遷されたとの事です！ 当時は、百澤寺(ひゃくたくじ)という名前だったそうです！ 入口に20台ほど駐められる無料駐車場があります！。 こちらが満車の時は、100mくらい離れた場所にも大駐車場があるそうなので余裕を持って参拝できますネ！ 一の鳥居からまっすぐ岩木山を望めます！ 長い参道の途中にある1つ目の山門、1628年建立の楼門だそうです！ この門の手前に、少し変わった狛犬さんがいます！ 楼門を潜り2つ目の山門へ行くと、とても鮮やかな装飾が施されていますが、何を話してるか全く理解できない職人さん達が修復中でした！ 朱色が鮮やかな本殿には、パワースポットで有名だからか参拝客が途切れません！ 参拝を済ませて御朱印を頂きました！ とても清々しい気分になれる神社さんです！
