一畑電車の駅が目の前にありますが、出入口が反対側で回り込む必要があるため徒歩5分程度かかります。 入場無料です。中は広々としていてきれいでした。 内容そのものは子供向けです。身近なものをテーマに科学的な説明がなされている感じで、子供が科学に興味を持てるように・・・親しめるように・・・という工夫がなされている感じで、いい施設だと思いました。 大人でも初めてならそこそこ楽しめるかと思いますが、あくまでも子供がメインの場所だと考えたほうがよさそうです。

Description
The Izumo Science Center is a science center located in Izumo-shi, Shimane Prefecture, Japan that operates both as a school and as a center for public education. The pupils in Izumo-shi, from third grade through junior high school, take lessons in natural science.
