用事でたまたま近くを通ったので休憩のために立ち寄ってみました。広い公園でとてもくつろげます。日中友好の証として、中華風の建物と石碑がありました。

個人的なことですが、私の父が満州出身ですので(父方の祖父母は満州の中国人)、満州の日本人残留孤児とその方々を引き取って育てた中国人養父母の話はよく知っていました。戦後のあの時代、祖国に帰れずに辛い思いをして中国で生きなければならなかった婦人や孤児、そして敵国の人々を引き取って育てると決意した中国人養父母の気持ちを考えると、本当にどちらの勇気と覚悟にも、胸が締め付けられる思いがします。石碑の前に屈んで、刻まれた文を読んで改めて日中友好を強く願いました。父方の祖父は満州で習った日本語を私の父に披露していたそうです。日本の存在が身近であった旧満州に育った父はその後、日本に留学し、そして私が今日本に生きている…そのことに改めて感謝したいと思います。 今後も日本と中国の友...
