I dropby this small town when I m on my way back to Beppu from Kunisaki. this slope is very photogenic and I'm very lucky tht there is no other peole around when I was there. there is free car park and public toilet at the bottom...

酢屋の脇を上る「酢屋の坂」、塩屋の脇を上る「塩屋の坂」...そしてこの坂の下には飴屋があったからこの名がついたとも言われていますが、白っぽい石段は雨の夜でもよく見えたことから「雨夜の坂」と呼ばれ、転じて「飴屋の坂」になったという異説もあります。
