Absolutely loved this hidden gem in the outskirts of Beppu. This is certainly a space you can hide from the outside world, but never get lost in. If anything, you find parts of yourself you didn’t know were there. There is also a cute cafe next door, traditional style Japanese eating. You take your shoes off before entering the residence and cafe. It is so quiet because of the mindfulness of everyone around you. Definitely make a stop here!

【雛祭りで訪れました】 隅々まで手入れの行き届いた武家屋敷が並ぶ杵築の城下町、今年の春、雛祭りで初めて訪れました。 北台の端にある磯矢邸からは、豊後水道の向こうに四国を遥かに見渡す事ができます。 着物で回ると入場料が無料になる嬉しいサービスもあって、城下町の1日を楽しむ事ができました♪
