This is an old Japanese castle and road with a quiet atmosphere. There is an elementary school around here, so you can see cute children if you overlap with school hours. You can also take the best shot on the road that often appears in Japanese dramas and movies. There is a quiet cafe nearby, so it is recommended to go once. 杵築市の代表的な坂だ。日田バスのツアーで10月20日に訪れて、ガイドさんの案内で城下町巡りを22人でした。ふるさと物産館で買い物して出発。江戸時代は麓まで海だった勘定場の坂を登って、藩校学習館跡や大原邸を見学し酢屋坂を下った。市役所は、城のような建物だった。後で天神坂から屋上駐車場に入れる事を知った。観光課に行って、観光パンフレットを貰った。昼からも歩いたお陰で、杵築の地形が頭に入った。車で来ても、道に迷う事は無い。歩くと地理が分かるし、健康にもいいのだ。

食事は衆楽観二階の久で摂った。ボリュームあって、美味しかった。13時から観劇したが30分経って休憩中に抜け出して、行きたかったきつき城下町資料館に行った。なんとここは、酢屋坂を下りて塩屋の坂を登った所にあった。展望台からは杵築城も見えた。杵築城は、大友や島津から攻められても落城していない。海が遠浅で船の侵入が困難な上、土壌がヘドロたからだ。1階に城下町の大きい模型が展示されて良く分かる。3階に七島藺の説明や水不足に備えてクヌギや溜池をいっぱい作って、椎茸や米の循環農業が...
