I was singled out by the instructor during the color rendering class, which was pretty upsetting. I know my work wasn’t perfect, but the assignment was supposed to be about practicing A/B shading—not strictly about drawing Greek mythology costumes. I thought using clothing was also a valid way to explore shadows, but instead of discussing it, I was publicly criticized in front of everyone. Did a half year exchange here in 2013 at the Manga Department. One of the most interesting, fun and important periods of my life. Well organized, fun classes and clubs, nice fellow students (japanese and foreign).
