Great food, some of the best pork katsu meal sets I’ve had in Japan. Incredible staff, fantastic portion size and all for an extremely affordable price.

I am a foreign exchange student from Canada studying at the nearby university KSU. I stumbled across this small cafe when walking to the train station and many times the menu caught my eye. I decided to finally go in for lunch one day and was welcomed with a smile by the owners and employees even though I am a foreigner. I do speak some Japanese enough to converse however, even if you didn’t your treatment would not change.

I eat here 2-3 times a week sometimes 4 just because it is so delicious and very well priced. My favourite item on the menu is the roast katsu meal set or ロストカツ定食, it is simply delicious and a perfect size. It comes with the fried pork, rice, a tofu side dish (delicious), cabbage, and a daily salad dish which changes every visit.

They do also offer a special lunch set which can be customized on size and ingredients for slightly more money but it is very popular among the locals and looks just as delicious. I won’t lie that I haven’t ordered it because I’m a little nervous with my Japanese but I’m also so in love the katsu.

I cannot recommend this place enough if you are Japanese, a foreigner who happens to be in the area, or a KSU exchange student you definitely do not want to miss out.

A ton of fairly good food. It's not spectacular but it's certainly nothing bad. You're paying for the volume and the quality is a bonus.

There's no english menu, otherwise I'd give 5* service. The waitress is friendly and despite the slow service warning, it was actually quite quick. Atmosphere is simple: it's a nice peaceful cafe, and it's very close to a train station too.

I paid 1300 yen for the below image, though most of their menu is in the standard 800-1000 range that most good restaurants charge. There's not much to complain about, cabbage was a bit too watery but that's personal preference moreso than anything wrong with their food. If anything there's the fact I was full before I could get to...
