This is a fabulous building designed by the Spanish architect Alfredo Arribas. It is such a delight to see such great architecture in a small city. It is a stunning building both inside and outside and is well worth visiting. It also has two floors devoted to a gallery that only exhibits contemporary Spanish art, and some very good work too. Again it is remarkable that Marugame has such a unique collection but this is all down to an exchange visit that took place many years ago. Really is a must visit. Alongside the building is a decent cafe. (NB: the photo isn't mine but scanned from the book Alfredo Arribas: Marugame Hirai Museum (OPUS) by Watanabe and can be purchased online.)

気になっていた建物です。道路側の正面入り口は閉め切られ、駐車場側から管理人さんに一声かけて入ります。 蝶々型の建物で3階まで作品が展示されています。左右エレベーターが2台あり、2階に休憩スペース、3階にトイレ。 無料でエアコンも効いていて貸切状態だったので、自分のペースでゆっくり鑑賞できました。 ※作品に触ったり...

HP見ても開いてるかよくわからず、迷える子羊状態で2021/02/22に行ってみましたが、開館しておりました。 入場料無料ですが、受付はなく、ビルに詰めてる警備員の方のみです。 発信がどうも弱いのは人がいないからでしょうかね。 ビルを見るとわかりますが、新聞放送会館との事で、西日本放送や四...
