Came to see Fujisan amongst all the cherry blossoms. The weather was nice to those of us that got their at opening.
We parked near the train station down below (one of the paid parking lots and made the 10 minute trek up to the park. (Should you take the train, JR Line would be the line to use.) We stayed at the park for a bout 2.5 hours. Parking ended up being 1100 yen.
Not stroller friendly. Lots of up hill walking and stairs to climb. You could still take a stroller, but you would have to take other paths that won't allow you to enjoy seeing the use blossoms and japanese jasmine up close and personal. Seems to be dog friendly. Many brought their dogs. Definitely the spot to take scenic pictures and capture Fujisan in all her glory. Once you get to the top, there is a food stand and drink machines. And of course, the swing that everyone wants a picture on. If you're lucky, you'll be able to have some Ume flavored ice cream. The machine was broken so we didn't get to try it out.
Overall, a nice way to get in your steps, enjoy the weather and...

Sakura trees were concentrated along the staircase to the entrance or when you exit. They formed a large canopy which was truly overwhelmingly beautiful to...

At that time we went there, the sakura was awesome even a bit after full bloom.
To reach to the top of sakura top view point. It is a small foothpath under the sakura trees zigzag along way.
Belong the foothpath, the tourist from other countries about 50% from all tourist (who living in Japan) were full of beautiful dress, they stop and take the photo which not the problem if they care about the flowers by not step up to it, not go over protected rope or having enough care of other tourist, and thinking about appropiate time of taking a photo in a place .. if that so, everyone can be very much enjoyed under these beautiful sakura...
