Umiu Observation Deck — Attraction in Miura

The top of the cliff is flush with tall bamboo-like grass, except in one spot where park groundskeeper staff trim the grass just enough to offer a bird’s-eye view of a small beach tucked away between the mostly rocky coastline. Shooting this beach during winter was a real joy since I didn’t have to worry about the foggy haze that clouds the horizon the almost always appears during the hot and humid summer months. The cliffs overlooking the inlet are winter breeding grounds for Japanese cormorants (Phalacrocorax capillatus) and pelagic cormorants (Phalacrocorax pelagicus), which will all migrate back to Hokkaido in April. ここでは県の指定天然記念物である、ウミウの排泄シーンが鑑賞できます。はっきり言って汚物まみれです。展望台というよりも、トイレと呼んだ方がふさわしいかもしれません。

人間が、人間の異性の排泄シーンに興味を覚えたら、それは立派なＨＥＮＴＡＩです。

ですが、人間のみならず、別種の生き物のそれに興味を覚えたなら、それはもはや人の道に非ずと言っても過言ではないでしょう。

少なくとも、ＨＥＮＴＡＩを超えた何かです。

人間の欲求は留まることを知りません。ですが、その対象がある一定の限度を超えたなら、それは周囲からの理解を得る事が難しくなります。

世間ではそれをマイノリティとかＬＧＢＴとか呼びますが、要は普通ではないって事です。

普通でなくてはいけないでしょうか？

それが義務だとするなら、窮屈で、単調で、とてもつまらない人生だと思います。

自分を解き放ちましょう。
