No entry tickets required. So much information and many different exhibits. Thank you for making it free to enter. Staff were all polite and helpful with a smile behind their face masks. We got there just as it opened at 0900. Ample parking but we parked at next parking and took a nice stroll thru a small forest to enjoy walking beneath such giants. We had most of the museum to ourselves as most families brought their kids to a chargeable play area. It looked like alot of fun👍🏽 They also have audio guides which is helpful as most of the exhibit information is in Japanese. Should be able to spend 2-3hrs if you take the time at all the exhibits

This place was amazing! We spent a few hours walking around to learn nature, history, agriculture, animals and etc. There were a couple of small theatres to watch the videos about the forest in 4 seasons and Takachiho Kagura. So much info to have a read, look, and listen, which made us inspired. I normally take many photos but got into the showcases and completely forgot. No food or drinks inside but a drink space at the entrance. The parking was huge and spacey. It was located just next to Miyazaki shrine, a few min drive from there. It's worth visiting when you come around.

Definitely one of the best museum I've visited in this area. Only bad thing is that they don't have any informations in English. But it does not matter because you can get most of it just by looking. It's prepared very nicely. Two levels = one is living animals in Japan and the second is the history of the Japanese culture. Don't miss this one!

Awesome museum. It has 2 floors with the 2nd being larger than the first. But its worth going to be entertained for an hour or so looking at all the well done exhibits. 1st floor is a presentation of the flora and fauna of miyazaki (with some interactive exhibits, all in japanese, except for the video presentations which have english subtitles). 2nd floor is more anthropological and cultural exhibits of the peoples that live in miyazaki. Also, did i point out that...
