Nachikogen Park — Attraction in Nachikatsuura

Really serene park with no one else around except for a few wild deer. Beautiful and clean punlic toilet with fresh flowers! It is sad that not many people come here because it is a really nice park with big open spaces and interesting stone paths to explore. There is a lookout over the valley and nachi falls built in the 1970's which is really cool. There should be local festivals and events held here because the huge open spaces are perfect. I wish the massive slide was still working, it is very rusted and no longer works.. Very good atmosphere on top of a mountain, a great place to sleep in your car overnight or possibly set up a tent on the grass. A really big and beautiful park with cool equipment and gardens. Unfortunately no one is here and it has an abandoned feeling like many places in rural Japan.
