Seiganto-ji Temple Sanjuno-to 3-Storied Pagoda — Local services in Nachikatsuura

Great place to visit and especially rewarding if you’re finishing the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage via the Nakahechi route . It was relatively quiet when I was there and it was also raining but the Three story pagoda was amazing ! Especially with Nachi waterfall in the background ! It’s close to the bus stop too and there’s a few cafes and a small store if you want to climb up or down a couple flights of stairs . There’s also parking for cars...

I slightly prefer the view near the waterfall. Despite that I cannot undermine the beauty of the pagoda lining up with the waterfall, it’s a stunning view and the best place to get THE picture for your IG post. Highly recommended to visit the pagoda and surrounding shrines when visiting the Nachi Waterfall. Expect to spend up to 60 minutes to hike from the Nachi Falls parking lot.
