The worst theme park we've been to. I felt scammed out of my money. We have two children, so we bought only the tickets to the Witches Valley and Monoke Village (we didnt want to see everything on one day). Our entry time for the ticket was 10 am on a weekday. Entry is slow. We got inside and the atmosphere is EXTREMELY lacking. It is also tiny with hardly anything to do, limited decoration, no ambiance. Ok, so lets go see the little houses from Ghibli films? NOPE. you need to buy a separate ticket for that. Ok, lets go buy a ticket. At this point there is literally no one in line for any of the houses. NOPE, you get a pass that says come back at 3:30pm to buy a ticket. Are you kidding? What can we even do here? Ok, lets go on the carousel or the other little tot ride with airplanes (the only two attractions). Guess how much these rides cost? (3,000 yen fo two adults and two young children). SKIP! Oh, I know! Kiki's bakery!! Waited in line to get it. Looks very plain inside. Bread is only sold in 3 different sets. You cannot choose what's in your set or swap anything. Each bread comes out to 500 yen each and each set is 3 or 4 pieces. Each set had something we really didnt want but we bought one anyway to try to salvage the trip for my kids who were almost in tears from disappointment. The bread was really subpar. My apple pie was literally a half apple piece from a can stuck onto some pastry dough. The entire trip was a bust and I will never return or recommend to any family or friends that come visit me here. We were done by noon (that was after letting my kids play in the fountain for an hour) and then we went to Monoke Village (even more disappointment). We were done in 10 minutes there. Unfortunately I already had bought the Grand Warehouse tickets for another day, but now I am slightly dreading going instead of looking...
Read moreIt is a 2 minute walk from the Grand warehouse, and it is the 5th attraction inside the Ghibli park that just recently been opened. This place is my 2nd favorite place next to the Grand Warehouse because it also has a lot to offer, plus there are also fun rides for the kids and a carousel that adults can also ride for a fee.
They also have a restaurant, bakery, hotdog stand, a hat & book shop, and a souvenir shop that matches the adorable theme of the place. Be prepared during the summer season because the sweltering afternoon heat is sometimes unbearable and uncomfortable.
There are also some facilities the can only be entered if you only have purchased the premium pass, I suggest buying it if you want to fully experience the place.
Ps. You could ride a free shuttle bus here if you wanted to visit other attractions in the area, just make sure to...
Read moreIt’s my new favorite area of Ghibli Park. The amount of detail they’ve replicated is amazing. I also love that they make the interiors interactive. I could spend hours observing all the intricate details.
Howl’s Castle: There are lots of details for fans—for example, Sophie has handwritten notes about the falling star spell from the book above her bed, and there are letters scattered around from the King asking Howl to help search for the missing prince. They included the “drying pow_er” in the bathroom. There are cute little details like notes from Howl and Michael telling Sophie not to touch their things. I didn’t think it was possible for them to recreate Howl’s bedroom, but they did and it’s stunning! I wish I could live here T_T
Kiki’s House: you can look inside Kiki’s bag in her bedroom and play the music on her radio. The greenhouse room...
