There was shuttle bus but always packed, so we decided to walk to the observatory, it’s about 10mins walk and highly recommend to bring an umbrella to protect from heat. There was waiting line before the entrance for about 15mins, to kill the time, you can get some fish foods from the vending machine and feed the fish from the bridge. Once get in, instantly could feel the power of AC, elderly or little kids (under 5) would need extra attention when descending as the stairs are steep. Once arrived at the bottom, there were various fish swimming around the windows of observatory, it was fun to watch. The 2000 yen adult price is well worth the visit. Children, students, and military members are offered a discount price. If you are going for the glass bottom boat ride, recommended to go for that first in case of change of weather and causing the ride to be cancelled. There’s a shuttle bus available and it will drop you near the jetty and when you are done, you can hop back on to head down to the observatory. We found the observatory to be interesting.
