The good Legoland I thougt Legoland was a really fun experience. Going in the winter time despite the weather was probably the better choice as the park was fairly empty. Minimal to no waiting at all. I arrived at 10 am and with 3 kids was unable to attend every attraction. Most attractions everyone can ride. Although there are a few with height requirements. It's basically designed for a 3/4 year old to enjoy the whole park.
Legoland hotel The rooms are fairly small especially for the price. The themed rooms were a nice touch to include treasure boxes and a good supply of toiletries. The hotel has a restaurant and a buffet style restaurant. They have a workshop where the kids can learn to build something. There is a kiddie pool as well it's deepest point is .6m so safe for all. There is a small shopping district next door with all types of food.
The bad. The things I really didn't care for predominantly revolved around money and convenience. In which I really didn't have any gripes with Legoland per se.
I was surprised by the price gouge in everything to include Legos in the Lego store
The restaurant inside the hotel was 4000 yen fir adults and 2000 yen fir children for a very mundane menu. Also everything had specific hours. This included makers pier. So it's easy to miss a dining block and then resort to eating at the hotel. Also because Legoland is in an industrial area there aren't any stores around. My biggest gripe was parking. Legoland to include the hotel had no parking so you have to pay for it out of pocket.
My last issue was despite a fairly mixed customer base the staff's overall English comprehension was extremely minimal. I'm curious how someone who didn't speak Japanese would fair
I'd come back but would...
Read moreWe re-visited Legoland for my boy's Bday and it was AWESOME. Maximum fun value for the whole family with many simple yet super fun activities. The Lego experience is brought in a smart way with endless details (inclusing staff wearing gloves looking like mini figs' hands).
For the food, which was a bad point from our previous, it hasn't improved. Expensive and simply bad. Its really sad that park visitors are mot allowed to re-enter and enjoy the many restaurants right in front of the park.
Food aside, a truly amazing experience with great memories (like the water splash / pirate thing where you can water spray the boats and passenger with water cannons and detonate bombs in the pond). Enjoy!! Post from Feb 2022 The park and attractions are awesome for a family with small kids. Everywhere is fun to watch with a large variety of attractions for everyone to feel content. For a Lego long-time fan, this place is also a flashback to childhood, with so many memories coming back.
We stayed one night in the hotel which is super fun too. The room (Ninja go) was full of surprises, games and even little gift (you guess it, some Lego toys !!)
The only bad point is the TERRIBLE food served both in the hotel and in the resort. We booked a Birthday lunch for my kid and we were shocked and ashamed (for them) by the food we got served. The staff even confirmed that some of the food was cooked up to 2 days in advance... The food quality was simply unacceptable and very expensive.
We are planning to come back to the park, but will avoid eating in the restaurants...

It’s a perfect spot for both children and adults to marvel at the attention to detail.
In Miniland, visitors can walk through stunning representations of Japan’s most famous landmarks like Tokyo Tower, the Osaka Castle, and even scenes from Mount Fuji. The models are incredibly detailed, featuring realistic depictions of buildings, vehicles, and even tiny figures that bring the scenes to life. As you explore, you’ll notice the moving elements, such as boats cruising through waterways or trains running along tracks, all adding to the charm.
What makes Miniland especially captivating is the interactive aspect. In some areas, visitors can engage with the exhibits by pressing buttons to make things happen. For example, you might trigger the sound of a train or activate a boat, adding an element of surprise and fun. It’s a great place to take photos, as the intricate models allow you to capture beautiful shots that show off the amazing craftsmanship.
Booking tickets in advance for Legoland Japan is highly recommended. During peak seasons like holidays or school breaks, the park can get crowded, and long lines can significantly impact your experience. By purchasing your tickets online before your visit, you’ll not only avoid waiting in ticket lines but also ensure entry on busy days when the park...
