Akishino Temple is off of the normal tourist path. It is a lovely, small, quiet temple with an impressive moss garden. It is only about a kilometer from Saidaiji Station, on the west side...

Akishino temple is a great temple has its history more than 1,000 years. Entry fee is 500yen. Inside main building, you can see various great image of buddha, and buddhism statues. You can walk around and enjoy a beautiful moss garden around this temple.

最寄りの近鉄平城駅からは徒歩12分、近鉄大和西大寺駅からは徒歩18分程。 乗換云々や設備面を考慮するとバスも出てるし大和西大寺が便利だと思います。 東門の北側に専用駐車場があります。 元は秋篠寺の鎮守社だったとの御霊神社のある南門から入り、苔を眺めながら受付へ。 境内に一歩踏み込むと空気が変わり、冷んやりとしています。 平日午前、参詣者は2組程でひっそりとした雰囲気でとても静かです。 国宝のご本堂。 堂内にはご尊像が並びます。 伎芸天は優しく微笑んでらっしゃるようでした〜 所用の為に訪れましたが、訪れる事ができて良かったです。 ご本堂の前には休憩所がありました。 境内の砂利や岩に這う苔も色々な種類があり、苔むした様子もかわいい。 庭園には苔がふっくらした絨毯のように広がります。 冬なので茶色い様子の物もありますが、どんぐりがふわふわの苔の上に転がる様子が見れましたー 少し雨がパラつく1月の中頃、梅の蕾が出ていて早春の訪れを伝えてました。 近くのお宅の山茶花も、まだ綺麗に咲いていましたー

随分前に行きたいと思いながら、やっと行く事ができました。 ご朱印帳の御朱印集めしているので楽しみにいきましたが記帳はされていないお寺で残念でした。 ネットで小栗旬さんが年に一度はお参りに来ると行ってましたのでどうかな…ッて思いながら行ってみました。 本堂500円の拝観料を支払い入館しましたがこじんまりしています。結構、お釈迦達がギッシリ並べてあり、良い雰囲気です。お庭もゆっくりできて本当に綺麗でした。 人手が足りていないようでトイレ掃除など出来ていなくてしようかと思いましたが虫の糞が沢山あった為、虫嫌いと怖い為断念💦 駐車場は広くて停めやすく、ただ浄化槽の鉄板がズレて大きな落とし穴がポッカリ空いて危ないとこはがど真ん中にありました。帰りに鉄板を被せて帰りました。空いて無いのが普通ですが空いていたらお気をつけて、ッて思いました(^^) でもお堂、お庭は良い空気流れてるお寺でした
