🌸❄️ Spring Blossoms at Kencho no Mori, Niigata 🌿✨ Visited Kencho no Mori (Forest at the Prefectural Office) and was greeted by a stunning display of Yukiwari-so (snowburst flowers) and Fukujuso (adonis flowers) in full bloom! 💐✨ The Yukiwari-so were especially charming—each flower blooming in a variety of colors, creating a truly enchanting scene. 🌸💜💗💛 Huge thanks to the dedicated volunteers who help maintain this beautiful space year-round. 🚗 Bonus: There’s free parking available at the prefectural office—super convenient! 📍 Kencho no Mori (Forest at the Niigata Prefectural Office) 🗺️ Location: Niigata City, Shin-Kōchō 🌸 Blooming season: Mid-March to early April 🌿 Over 2,400 trees & seasonal flowers across 15,000㎡ of green space It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful spring walk and a great place to feel the change of seasons. 県庁の敷地内にある森。４０年近く経って、植栽された樹木は大木に迄、成長し森に相応しい佇まいを醸し出しています。森の中は季節の花々が植栽されていて、冬以外の季節であれば、散策される方の目を楽しませてくれます。訪れた時は早春の頃で、芽出し前の殺風景の森の中で、福寿草が花を咲かせていて、彩りを与えてくれていました🌻。

木々の木陰が真夏の暑さにほっとひと息つかせてくれます。とても丁寧に手入れされていて居心地がいいです。 県庁の森は、将来に渡って緑豊かな県庁とするため、クロマツ、シラカシ、タブノキ、 トウネズミモチ（以上常緑樹）、イタヤカエデ、カツラ、ケヤキ（以上落葉樹）の苗木を高密度に植樹されています。 苗木植栽地の中に成木を点在させて、景観上の配慮をするとともに、周囲には防護のために、シラカシ、タブノキ、タイサンボク、ネズミモチを主体とした常緑樹を配置しています。 県庁の森は、信濃川からの強い風を和らげ、熱い夏には県民に安らぎを与える心地よい木陰となっています。また、随所に四季折々のかわいらしい花々...
