It is a relaxing place. The waterfall is not a big one but worth it to stop by. There is a hiking trail. I would love to try some day. You can drive here. It takes around 10 min after you enter the mountain path. Didn’t have time to go further but it feels like it is a great place for nature lovers. There is a small parking area near to this waterfall. There isn't really anything special about the waterfall itself. However, if you want to get away from all the tourists at the main temples, it will be a nice pleasant hike. You will see many smaller but elegant temples along the way, and they were pretty deserted. There is also several museums nearby that most people are...

We visited the shrine nearby and had some time left. We decided to walk to see Shiraito Falls. It's a bit of an uphill climb along the main road. We were limited for time but made it with time to spare. It's a really beautiful location and one can understand why other shrines were built...
