Jumped on a train and headed for the trees. We only had a few hours, and this was a good place for this NorCal girl to see Japanese redwood. Great walking path, nothing too strenuous.

オープンと同時にいってなんとか座れました オープン前に並ぶのかと思ってたら、まさかの着いた順に順番表に名前を書くとはwww その説明はなく、何組かに抜かれましたwww 入ったらその後から人が笑笑来て、あっという間に1時間待ち ここは予約はできないが、電話で〇〇時頃に行きますと言っておくと、順番表に名前を書いておいてくれるらしいので、電話しておくといいかもです おそばはん〜まぁまぁ美味しかったです

Knowing a little about its history is good, like why some of the trees have name tags (companies or individuals) - this will elevate your appreciation of the trees.

It's a peaceful area and you can see the cedar lined avenues, but not particularly outstanding as compared to other attractions in Nikko. But still worth the visit if...
