I've just come here to enjoy the cherry blossom and voila cherry blossom - someyoshino & yokosakura - is everywhere now in spring time. A beautiful park with view of castle, sea, rice field and its primadona ~ SAKURA (cherry blossom). Omura park is also an ideal place to picnic under the sakura trees. Public toilets are clean. There're also food stalls selling okonomiyaki, sausage, etc. It's a lovely...

Made a brief stop at Omura Park while driving from Nagasaki to Kumamoto on 30 June 2024. It was past the cherry blossom and iris blooming seasons. But the many carps in the large pond in the park more than made up for the flowers. It’s worth spending some time there just to see the carps; it’s such a joy...

A very pleasant scenic spot. The castle itself is long gone, but some of the ramparts remain. It's situated on a hill at the edge of the water - and would look great if not for all the scafolding and covers (presumably, renovations are in progress). Still, nice place to...

A beautiful park with view of castle, sea, rice field and its primadona ~ SAKURA (cherry blossom). Omura park is also an ideal place to picnic under the sakura trees. Public toilets are clean. There're also food stalls selling okonomiyaki, sausage, etc. It's a lovely park. love it.
