Beautiful shrine and bridge. The bridge itself is an arch and the steps have been built into it. Sakuras in full bloom and I got to witness a wedding while I was there. This place doesn’t get a lot of tourist so it was a great visit. Also make sure to check out the park on the other side of the train station.

El puente Sorihashi "Una de las estructuras más famosas del recinto del santuario es el puente de arco pronunciado que se encuentra en la entrada y que se llama Sorihashi o más popularmente Taikohashi. Cuando se construyó originalmente el puente hace unos 400 años, cruzaba un entrante de mar, pero ahora cruza un estanque y ofrece una entrada muy pintoresca al santuario. Este puente se construyó deliberadamente con un arco alto para recordar el arcoíris que une la tierra y el cielo. En 1948, Yasunari Kawabata escribió una novela llamada "Sorihashi" en la que señaló que daba más miedo bajar por el puente que subir.
