The enclosures are very small. For fish this is passable. But for the one seal, he is in a very sad enclosure by himself with no stimulation like a toy or anything. It looks like a prison cell with a small pool. I think this aquarium is better off sticking to fish and leaving the mammals alone. The penguins looked sad (also lack of toys or stimulation). The otter was packed into a small room and also did not have any toys. The mammals at Maruyama zoo probably have more stimulation (and that’s not saying much if you’ve visited there). I did enjoy seeing and feeding the salmon. The garden eels were very cute, and the Clio were also great to see. I would like to see less mammals and more fish at this place. It’s very small, and you can see everything quickly in about 30 min. If you take your time, you’d still probably finish it...
Read moreThis is by far the most depressing aquarium I’ve ever been to. The tanks were incredibly incredibly tiny even for some of the smaller fish. Seals are my absolute favorite animal ever and seeing them crammed into a tank smaller than a college dorm room was depressing. Not only was it tiny it was filthy as well, this goes for many of the other tanks. The otters, penguins and seals all didn’t have enough room to move about. Swimming in small loops in what little space they were given. The sting rays too looked as though they had their tails hacked off, swimming about with raw and scabbed over tail stubs. If you want to be horrified then this is the...
Read moreVery small and very depressing. Many of the enclosures seemed too small for the animals, and weren't in the best state. Many enclosures had chipped paint and dirty tanks. The seals, otters, and penguins were the worst part. The poor animals absolutely did not have enough space for their larger sizes, and it was truly hard to watch as they swam and ran around their...
