太田が英語名なのは、東北大学の留学生が多い三条町の重要なスーパーだからです。留学生が最初に覚えるひらがなが、おおたです。卒業した留学生に、きれいになった太田の写真を見せると、涙が出てくるぐらい懐かしくなるようです。野菜や果物全般に安く、近くのどのスーパーよりも、安いです。場所が住宅街のなかにあり、ちょっと見つけにくいですが、車を停める場所もあります。一家でなさっているようで、人件費がかからない分、安くしてくれるのでしょうか。お勧めです。

Family owned fruit and vegetable shop. Fruit in Japan is always expensive but much less so here. Very good quality but no time for silly things like waxing fruits or doing much advertisement (I guess they are busy enough as it is). Seasonal products, older pieces at a discount and a few non-vegetable products that may save you a trip to the combini. Highly...
