Since there wasn’t much around the hotel, we decided to visit this soy sauce museum nearby. It seems that soy sauce is a specialty of Shodoshima. The entrance fee was 500 yen, and although I initially thought it was a bit pricey, I was surprised to receive a bottle of soy sauce as soon as I bought the ticket. And it’s even in a glass bottle, so I already felt the ticket was worth it before we even started the tour. The explanations inside are available in Japanese, English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese, which is very considerate, and it’s definitely worth a visit regardless of whether you’re interested in the soy sauce production process.
