I wanted to see something amazing, but it was just normal.
The main room is exciting with lots of aircraft displayed. Especially like the ones up above, hanging from the ceiling. Some have stairs to examine the cockpit and one you can climb into for pictures.
The history of the airfield is also enjoyable. However they suggest that it is the site of a former aircraft memorabilia stockpile. Where did all that cool stuff go?!? I want to see. Also World War II receives little discussion.
Some interactive areas and displays for kids.
There are four stamps in the main exhibition hall. Three with various aircraft and one postcard style with five colors.
520 yen entrance fee. Parking free for two hours. The parking lot seemed to have space when I departed in the early afternoon. There also might be free street parking (the signs say no, but lots of...

You can park at any of the car parks for the aviation park, but the one beside the museum is most convenient. The first two hours are free, then it is charged by the...

It's not a bad way to get a feel for what sitting in these vehicles would be like, but is probably more fun for the kids and is especially popular for posing for pictures (there are even kid-sized pilot and aviator costumes for the kids to wear while taking shots).
There are also several exhibits on flight and aerodynamics (Japanese only), and for a little extra money you can watch a brief, unrelated 40-min CG movie.
Just outside the museum are displays of older planes, a large picnic area, and usually lots of hobbyists flying kites,...
