Nestled in the heart of Tokushima City, Mount Bizan offers a refreshing retreat with stunning panoramic views and a touch of natural serenity. This prominent peak is not only a local landmark but also a perfect spot for those seeking a blend of outdoor adventure and tranquil beauty.

Scenery and Views: The most striking feature of Mount Bizan is its breathtaking panoramic view of Tokushima City, the Yoshino River, and the distant mountains. The main trail is relatively short and accessible, making it suitable for casual hikers and families. The path is well-maintained and shaded, providing a pleasant walk through lush greenery. For those looking for a bit more challenge, there are steeper sections and alternative routes that offer a more rigorous climb and rewarding views.

Lovely views of Tokushima, all the way to Wakayama (in the distance). There's also a cafe which doubles up as a goods shop for souvenirs and sometimes anime merchandise during the biannual local Machi Asobi anime festivals. On the second floor of this cafe building is an indoor lookout area where you can also ring a bell for happiness. Other than the views, the nature is also beautiful. There are lots of flower gardens planted all around the top of Bizan, and if you go down a bit, there's an area filled with flowers even in late spring! Hydrangeas bloom in June, I presume. The ropeway is a bit expensive for the short distance though, so you can consider climbing up in about half an...
