Bizan Ropeway — Attraction in Tokushima

Forest Trails: Just below the summit, there are some vague trails that wind through the forest. If you’re up for a short hike, explore these paths—they lead to hidden corners where you can immerse yourself in nature. I found it surprisingly peaceful and rejuvenating. A quick 6 minute cablecar trip each way. There are two carts that leave in each direction every 15 minutes. When I visited in the late afternoon, there weren't that many people there. There were no long lines or big crowds in the cabins.

Once upstairs, there are a bunch of vending machines or you can get something in the café. The upstairs of the café also offers the same nice view, just a little bit above the tree tops.

The trees could do with a little bit of trimming, though. That, or they need to start building the platforms higher in the near future.

Technically, you can also reach this viewing platform by driving yourself via the road on the other side of the hill. It's not exclusive to the ropeway company. But it is a fun little activity while you're there, so...

The view from the top of this mountain is absolutely breathtaking. To see the city on one side and the mountains stretching out in the distance on the other is unlike anything else. Come here around the nightfall and treat yourself to the city of a million lights. I highly recommend this, even if you only have 1 evening to spend...
