This is one place that many have touted as “must visit and must try” whenever one visits Shikoku, Tokushima. So we made it our first stop on landing at Tokushima.

We ordered individual sets of ramen with extra egg, and ramen with white rice. All sets with extra sliced meat.

The ramen broth was observed to be on the oily side, and first taste revealed the saltiness within the broth. Although the ramen noodles were tangy and well cooked, the saltiness of the noodles themselves were on the high side. As we tried the meat, we were again overwhelmed by their saltiness, to the extent that the usual meat that comes with the ramen bowl lacks taste. As we ate, the white rice apparently came in handy, to neutralise the saltiness within the noodles, meat and broth.

Unfortunately, this ramen is not a recommendation if one is on a low-salt diet and certainly not for any individual who would like to maintain a healthy lifestyle with a daily low...

Inotani Tokushima Ramen offers a delightful taste of traditional Japanese ramen, featuring a rich and flavorful pork-based broth. Known for its Tokushima-style ramen, it includes a unique combination of ingredients such as tender chashu (braised pork), a raw egg, and green onions, all sitting atop a bed of chewy, slightly wavy noodles. The broth is hearty and savory with a balanced depth of flavor, typical of the Tokushima region in Japan. While the ramen is filling and satisfying, some might find the richness of the broth to be a bit overwhelming after a few bites, especially with the raw egg's creamy texture. Overall, it's a solid option for ramen lovers seeking an...

If youre looking for tokushima ramen go no further! We live in fukuoka home of tonkatsu ramen but this ramen place really set another high standard. Thoroughly enjoyed the rich taste. We had had lunch and had dinner plans but didnt want to miss out so we ordered one small ramen with a raw egg for 50 yen and bamboo shoots for another 100yen extra. The small as you can see isnt really small. My husband and i shared this and it make for a great snack. Its all self service and theres enough English to make it intuitive...
