Setagaya Plum festival When: 11/02/16 - 06/03/16: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Where: Hanegi Park, 4-38-52 Daita

Hanegi Park is only a few minutes walk from Umegaoka station and has around 650 plum trees — both the red and white varieties — to feast your eyes on during this festival.

Settle in for a full day and check out the stalls selling plum-related knick-knacks, food and matcha tea.

There’s also koto instrument performances, haiku classes, tea ceremonies and plant markets.

A small city park with 700 plum trees of various varieties. The Ume Matsuri is celebrated here on weekends and holidays through February. The plum perfume in the air is unmistakable! Expect Picnics, food vendors, and a festive atmosphere especially when the weather is mild. Getting there: Odakyu line, Umegaoka station, 5 minutes walk...

If you visit japan in February, you're in luck because the cherry blossom's sister is in bloom. February is the Plum Blossom season and I believe that this park is one of the best spot to enjoy the Plum Blossom in Tokyo. It has a lot of trees and from several different varieties. There is no entrance fee to the park, just be sure to behave and don't do anything that will ruin the plans and/or disturb other visitor.

If you're tired from your trip, there are a lot of bench to sit while enjoying the scenery.

It's easy to get here, just stop at Umegaoka Station, and the park is...

Haneki Park is a short walk from Umegaoka Station on the Odakyu Line, and at this time of year, many of the plum trees in the park are in full bloom, making it a great place to visit. When you think of HANAMI, you may think of cherry blossoms, but plum blossoms are also popular in Japan. The plum blossoms bloom a little earlier than the cherry blossoms bloom, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing for a long time if you enjoy plum blossoms and then cherry blossoms in that order✨ The park is very spacious and is always crowded with people who come to have picnics and play sports on a daily basis, and there is also a play park...
