Harumi Port Park: A Place to Enjoy Views of Tokyo Bay

Located in the Tokyo bayside area, Harumi Port Park is a quiet park that offers a vast view of the waterfront. From the park, you can see the Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Tower, and various ships passing by. The adjacent Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal was once used as a port for large cruise ships. However, with the increasing size of ships and the aging of the facility, its role came to an end. The new hub for large cruise ships is now the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, which opened in Odaiba. This entire area is also known as the former site of the Athletes' Village for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which took place in 2021. After the games, the area was redeveloped into a new neighborhood called "HARUMI FLAG," where many people now live in condominiums and make use of various commercial facilities. 東京湾岸エリアに位置する晴海ふ頭公園は、水辺の景色が広がる静かな公園です。園内からは、レインボーブリッジや東京タワー、行き交う船を眺めることができます。

この公園に隣接していた晴海客船ターミナルは、大型クルーズ船の寄港地として利用されていましたが、船の大型化や施設の老朽化に伴い、その役割を終えました。現在、大型クルーズ船の新たな拠点となっているのは、お台場に開業した東京国際クルーズターミナルです。

A nice park where you can relax and enjoy the night view of the Rainbow Bridge. Often a ship is also anchored at the dock. There's also a field with lush green grass. The bay poses a wonderful scene at night with all the high rise buildings in Chuo City, Tokyo. Fortunately, no low-life moronic smoker was there when I visited. As of now (2/2017) looks like they are doing a LOT of construction in the area for the 2020 Olympic Village nearby. So the park seems to be pretty dead/quiet. Also, the park definitely needs some cleanup and paint jobs - I'm assuming it'll get that before the completion of the Olympic Village. Otherwise, I can see it has a ton...
