Meiji Jingu Gaien Nikoniko Park — Attraction in Tokyo

Happened upon this park when we were going to an event nearby and were very pleased. A pretty large, enclosed park for kids - there's an entrance fee but I felt it was worth it (300 yen for adults, 100 yen for kids elementary and under). There is a great big hill with various climbing and sliding areas, plenty of playground equipment, sandbox area, a very popular big slide, a refreshment stand, rental lockers, those obligatory vending machines and some cheap bubbles, toys for sale at the front.

Could spend all day here, plan a nice playdate or a picnic - there are tables (mostly taken when we got there soon after it opened) and lots of sitting areas (bring your own blankets, food if...

Bring coins to buy your tickets (it's a vending machine). 300 yen for adults & 100 yen for kids. Lots for kids of all ages to enjoy-- from 1 year old to maybe middle schoolers. Plenty of tables and chairs for parents & several tables with umbrellas. Clean & a great way to spend a morning or afternoon or both for young ones. Bring your own meal or buy things they have there. I was there for a couple of hours with my friend and her son. It seemt like the kids were have A LOT of fun here. Besides some big slides and stuff there's also a nature inspired part that seemt very interresting. There are places to sit down while you wait and a couple of vending machines one with the "famous" japanese coffee on cans and the other with icecreams... All in all it looked like...
