The traditional temple Where japanese people pray. There is a stone basin with ladles for pouring water. Omikuji note are fortune telling note with 100 yen offering. Riding on the stone cow with 500/1000 yen offering is a symbolic to good fortune, prosperity. A wish or prayer is to written on Ema and hang on the wooden rack with 100 yen offering. A 400 years old pine tree also spread the serene and spiritual feeling on the Temple.

Temple with a tied-up jizo statue (Shibarare Jizo). People believe that your prayer will be answered if you tie a rope around the statue. You’re also supposed to untie one of the ropes once your wish has been granted. There’s also a cow statue that is supposed to bring you success if you straddle it.

1348年創建。本尊は釈迦如来。林能法師が、本所の地にこのお寺を建てたときには、在原業平が、東下りの際の隅田川の船遊びで起きた転覆事故の犠牲者を弔った経塚が傍らにあったとされます。関東大震災後に本所から現在の地に移転しました。 【しばられ地蔵尊】 境内には「大岡政談」で知られる「しばられ地蔵尊」があります。 全身を縄で縛られた姿をしているのですが、その理由は以下のエピソードにあります。 日本橋の呉服屋の手代(店の使用人のこと)が南蔵院(東泉寺)の境内で居眠りをしてしまい、反物を荷車ごと盗まれてしまいました。調べにあたった名奉行・大岡越前守忠相(以下、大岡越前)は「泥棒の所業を黙って見ていた地蔵も同罪である」と地蔵をぐるぐるに縛って江戸市中を引き回しました。どんな裁きが待っているのかと野次馬が奉行所になだれ込みました。そこで大岡越前は「天下のお白州(法廷)に乱入するとは不届至極。罰として反物一反を科す」とし、奉行所にはその日のうちに反物の山が出来ました。手代に調べさせると、その中に自分が盗まれた反物があり、さらに調べると、江戸市中を荒らし回った大盗賊団を一網打尽にすることが出来ました。 大岡越前は地蔵尊の霊験に感謝し、お堂を建てました。以降、お願いする時は縛り、願いが叶うと解くという風習が生まれ、盗難除け、厄除け、足止め、縁結びなど、あらゆる願い事を聞いてくださる霊験あらたかな地蔵尊として拝められる様になりました。 毎年、大晦日の午後23時からはこちらの住職によって、縄解き供養が行われます。

東水元に南蔵院という寺院があります 境内に鎮座する " しばられ地蔵 " さんが 笑えない位ぐるぐる巻きですねぇ💦 SMマニアや緊縛師もびっくりですわぁ😅

その方重々不届きにつき市中引き回しの上 打ち首獄門に処する！ の判決台詞を申し渡す事で有名な大岡越前

しばられ地蔵は大岡越前守忠相の " 大岡裁き " で捕らえられた死罪以上の判決を受けた 罪人に課された付加刑であります・・・

呉服問屋の手代が真夏のとても暑い日に 運んできた反物をお地蔵さんの前に置き 木陰の涼しい場所で昼寝をしてしまう ふと眼が覚めると反物が盗まれてた(^^;

手代は奉行所に駆け込み大岡越前守が

" 泥棒を黙ってみているとは地蔵も同罪だ その地蔵を縛って連れてまいれ "

と言い地蔵がぐるぐる巻きにされ 江戸中を引き回しにされたとの事です

その裁きを見ようと集まってきた野次馬が 地蔵と共に奉行所まで雪崩れ込み

" 天下のお白州へ許可なく入り込むとは 不届き千万！罰として其々に反物一反おさめよ "

との裁きが下され 積まれた反物の中に盗まれた反物が混ざっていた

その後 江戸中を荒らしていた盗賊団がお縄となり とばっちりを受けた地蔵さんは縄を解かれ 無事にお寺に返されたそうです 数日後立派な堂が建てられ 盛大な縄とき供養が行われそうです
