Gorgeous and humbling, the ruins are a steep stair climb but well worth it. Beware of habu. The whole park is lovely and you can walk the trail in a circle around the whole castle. Lots of flowers, a large field for playing, the walking path is paved. There’s a playground also. The ruins and the bull ring are the main attraction though. Be respectful of the ancient place, you are just a blip in its lifespan. Enjoy the scenery, take photos, but don’t leave any trace of yourself behind. There is a parking lot. Read moreFor those with small kids - not kid friendly - it’s a neat place to hike to the top from the back stairway — BUT I am glad I didn’t bring my kid with me. At the top there is no railing and it’s a sheer drop down — and it’s a long way down — onto some sharp rocks below.
