Shigakogen Roman Museum — Attraction in Yamanouchi

Great little museum in an amazing building (seriously, the architecture itself of the first gallery with the artifacts is worth seeing). The 2nd floor had an impressive gallery of local artwork on temporary exhibition. Good place while waiting for the bus back to Nagano, but I would recommend allowing AT LEAST 20 minutes to comfortably look at the artwork… I did a 9 minute speed run of the museum right before the bus came which was not enough time to fully appreciate...

It costs ¥500 per adult to enter. The museum is located right near the bus stop that heads back to Nagano station. It's a good place to stop by if you are waiting for the bus and want to warm up after visiting Snow Monkey World.
