Yokohmas original car meet.. this is not a car show, and there is no drifting or burn outs its a chilled car meet.. cars come and go all evening.. loads of original old skool cars mixed up with modern.. if you're looking for a real car meet, this is it.. It's a rest point for drivers so has cafe and toilets etc... but u will be too busy taking photos and listening to the cars spooling up on the crazy arial ring roads that run around and over the car park.. the site is an open car park and not well lit!!! If u want to get good shots of the cars, bring some sort of tripod!!! Super low light in areas with bright spots over head, it makes for kool shots but hard to take full car shots better for close up detailed shots... I'm not a professional photographer by far. I just want to give u a heads up.... as you will want to fill ur memory card!!!!! Everyone was super chilled the evening we went, very friendly was evan offered to sit in a few cars.. Enjoy JDM Crew 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵

Here me out ! You’re into the japanese car scene ? YES ? Then just go to daikoku ! Pro tip : - go friday night or Saturday night it’s going to be more like a Need for speed type of meet ( heavily modified cars, lots of jdm etc.. ) but be carful id it’s too crowded the police will shut down the parking. So be there at like 20:00 and leave when you want - go on Sunday morning from 8:00 - 12:00 you will see a lot of different cars ( eu / jdm / usa / exotics / classics etc.. ) if you have chance maybe a lots of bozosoku style bike. - go whenever you want. There’s always a group of cool cars ! Don’t forget that daikoku P.A is a parking in the middle of the expressway so the only way in & out is by the express way. It’s much easier if you go with your car-bike than a taxi it’s will be less expensive and muche easier to go.

Daikoku, What can I say! If you are a car lover this is a must when visiting Japan. I’ve always wanted to come here since the mid 2000’s and I was not disappointed. My wife and I came here on a Friday night with a friend that lives in Tokyo. Make sure you rent a car as it is located in Yokohama. You will not be able to just walk to this area since it’s off a major expressway. There is a Lawson convenience store so you can always grab a bite to eat but just be aware there are no alcohol to purchase as this is a truck/car rest area. You will see everything from JDM, GT-R, rare vehicles, exotics and meet a lot of cool/friendly car people. Had a blast and you will to. Make sure it’s on your itinerary when visiting Japan but be sure to respect the area as the police aren’t very lenient with noise levels.

The roots of Japanese street racing and modded Nissans. Sight and sounds of engines, music and the siren of the cops.A must go for Japanese sports car enthusiasts! The history of Japanese street racing! Only drawback is that you need to rent a car to get there as it's a 45 mins drive (if you don't miss the turn off to the parking from the highway)and there's no train or bus heading there. Getting a taxi would costs even more than renting a car, so I suggest renting a car would be more cost effective and plus you get to drive on the Wangan! *Note: The cops are always there so just tell them you're tourist and they will not bother you.

Visited the Saturday night car show, great cars and vibe. Showed up at 6pm, lot was full by 8 and the cops shut down the parking lot and show at 9pm and forced every car to leave the parking area. Food and convenience store located on site. Bathrooms and resting area. Was very comfortable with the family. If your planning on going to see a car meet show up at 6 and if it’s as busy as it got for us expect the cops around 9 before they force you off the lot. Was fun to see the cars arrive and leave at the end. Not much lighting at night so if you want some nice pics bring a good camera.
