Daikoku Parking Area – A Must-Visit for Car Enthusiasts! 🚗💨
If you’re a car lover, Daikoku Parking Area in Tokyo is an absolute must-visit! This legendary spot is known for its epic car gatherings, where you can see some of the best-modified cars, JDM legends, and exotic supercars all in one place.
Best Time to Visit 🕖
The car meets usually start around 6-7 PM, and by 9 PM , on Fridays only! you’ll see an incredible lineup of customized and rare vehicles. Whether you love tuned-up Skylines classic Japanese cars, this place has something for every car enthusiast.
How to Get There 🚖 • There is NO pedestrian access, meaning you must enter the gate in a car. • Public transportation won’t get you all the way there safely, so the best way is to book a taxi via an app (Uber, DiDi, or JapanTaxi) to drop you off directly at the parking area. • This will save you time and energy, trust me!
Important Tips ⚠️
✔ Plan Your Return – By the time the event winds down, there’s no public transport available, and since everyone who came by car leaves in their own vehicles, you might get stranded if you don’t arrange a cab in advance. ✔ Leave a Bit Early – The gate can close, preventing taxis from entering, so it’s best to step out a bit earlier to catch your ride. ✔ Stay Safe – Since it’s a highway service area, walking to and from the parking lot is unsafe due to high-speed roads.
For JDM fans, supercar lovers, and anyone into automotive culture, Daikoku PA is a must-see at least once in your life. The atmosphere, the engine revs, neon lights, and passion for cars make it an unforgettable experience.
Make sure to plan ahead, and thank...
Read moreThe area is only reachable by car - rental/taxi or participant. The taxi price is 5000 one way - a pretty hefty tag from my pov. The other entrance possibilities are blocked. Note that there is an active police station on this parking space. The best is to take a taxi with many people from the Yokohama station and ignore the bus, since there is no passage from the surrounding industrial area. There are also 2 supermarkets which offer a huge variety of food and stuff.
Regarding the cars I rather was disappointed - the day I visited the area was full, there were also some nice builds, but overall it seems overhyped to me. Especially considering the 10000y taxi fare both ways. I went to official Oldtimer exhibitions that costed less and offered tons more.
I saw many YouTubers and bloggers who obviously continue to ride this wave. For me it is a meet-up for enthusiasts. If you have a cheap way to get in and out, go for it. Driving alone and expecting top notch mods may be too much of an expectation. But who knows, maybe there is a secret schedule of top Motor Clubs of Tokio/Yokohama...
Read moreYokohmas original car meet.. this is not a car show, and there is no drifting or burn outs its a chilled car meet.. cars come and go all evening.. loads of original old skool cars mixed up with modern.. if you're looking for a real car meet, this is it.. It's a rest point for drivers so has cafe and toilets etc... but u will be too busy taking photos and listening to the cars spooling up on the crazy arial ring roads that run around and over the car park.. the site is an open car park and not well lit!!! If u want to get good shots of the cars, bring some sort of tripod!!! Super low light in areas with bright spots over head, it makes for kool shots but hard to take full car shots better for close up detailed shots... I'm not a professional photographer by far. I just want to give u a heads up.... as you will want to fill ur memory card!!!!! Everyone was super chilled the evening we went, very friendly was evan offered to sit in a few cars.. Enjoy JDM Crew...
