Yokohama Animal Forest Park — Attraction in Yokohama

The animals have wide pens and are free to roam, better compared to some traditional zoo. Because the pen are larger it can be hard to spot the animal to compensate, they have a "display" zone where they put animals much closer to the visitor behind Plexiglas. It has many resting spot designed around the theme of the area your are in. It has kids playing areas, a small stream, and many other nice touches. Point to improve would be moving inside the park itself. Although the bus that brings you to the other end of the park is nice ( 200 JPY/ adult 100 kids above 6 years old), wandering in the park can easily be tiring and temperature in kanagawa doesn't help. A bicycle rental service would be nice, and for the lazier one electric assisted bicycles or Segways.. Nice play to bring kids. The food was ok but as usual in this kind of place overpriced. Couldn't visit the whole place it was too hot will visit...

One of the best organized zoos in the world. Adequately sized enclosures with perfect ambience for the animals. Also the size of the zoo is ideal that one doesn't get tired after walking around.
