We enjoyed the beautiful peaceful beach on a week day just at the end of the rains and it was wonderful and peaceful. We could observe so many fish while quietly floating on the surface. We came back on Friday afternoon on a sunny day and unfortunately we found out that even in this little national park business is king. Loud tourists and families with kids splashing water and throwing coral rocks randomly in the sea with parents not telling them anything, snorkelers diving down and stalking fish in order to get an ugly photo with their phone and talking loudly. It was so sad to see the bay changing and I can't imagine how it is during peak season. Also, I rented a mask and snorkel at twice the price than any other place on the island and the snorkel wasn't working properly. Went to change it, was given another one that was also not working and kept on bending being letting water go in my mouth. Didn't have any issue with the two snorkels I rented in other beaches. Read more10月 2022年 1 hr ride from tomari port by super ferry (Queen Zamami) then another 10-15minute bus ride from the port to the beach. The beach has a refreshing blue color, relaxing sound waves and the water is so clear! How breathtaking! White sand but not as fine on the other areas with scattered pumice. Snorkling gear, life jacket, parasol, etc are available for rent. Depending on the weather, you might not be able to rent a parasol so wear a lot of sunscreen or hide under the deck :) There's a small clean toilet but haven't seen a shower room. There is only one shop for food and rental so there are less options for food and beverage. It was not crowded on the month of October so it feels like a private beach. Please snorkel! Underwater of zamami is a whole...
Read moreBeach is beautiful, but not amazing. It’s just surprising because no one expects it to be in Japan. I got stung by a jellyfish. When I left the water, there was absolutely no structure to help me with the pain. Besides, the toilet was putrid dirty. Something very rare in Japan, but it exists. On the top of it, even though there is a shower service that they charge 300 yen for 3 minutes of fresh water, they refuse to change a 500 yen coin. So, they charge you a very expensive but you have to find a way to have the exact amount of money. However, if you want to buy anything else, they will give you the change. Very low quality service...
