Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Pension Cha Villa! It's a 3-5 minute walk from Zamami port so no need to be picked up. It's 2 min walk to the 105 local konbini store.
The tatami room is simple and has everything you need — AC, tiny bathtub, shower, fridge, small stove, and microwave. It's not luxury by any means but a very basic and well equipped and clean tatami style room. We didn't travel to Zamami to stay in the room so as a basic and humble accomodation, it served our family well.
You can wash your clothes and hang to dry outside the unit. The innkeeper Mr. Miyahira was very particular about making sure guests did not track the thick Zamami beach sand into the unit which is a good thing.
The innkeeper Mr. Miyahira was very nice and even found us a snorkel and mask for our daughter at the last minute after all the other dive shops had closed. We are so thankful for this gesture.

Read moreCha Villa was my home far far away from home when I visited the beautiful island of Zamami. I was travelling this last week of my vacation alone and the staff, especially Tomoko-san, made me feel like a friend and family! The little apartment was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning and a fridge. The garden of the hotel is a little oasis where you can sit with a cup of hot tea or a cold beer and sum up your adventures of the day. The little café in the lobby serves snacks and drinks and is great for a bit of "western style" breakfast if you fancy it. The location is great 2 minutes from the port but still close to walk to Furuzamami and Ama beaches. I would recommend Cha Villa to everyone and hope to come...
