I absolutely love visiting Blacks Beach! It's a local gem that provides a tranquil and relaxing escape, especially during the winter months. Whenever I need some time to gather my thoughts and clear my mind, this is the perfect spot to go.
One thing I greatly appreciate about Blacks Beach is the length of the shoreline, which allows for a delightful walk. If you venture to the other end, you'll discover a variety of enticing options. From the Crows Nest restaurant and beach market to Java Junction and El Palomar Harbor Restaurant, there's no shortage of fantastic dining choices near the Santa Cruz Harbor.
On the other side of the beach, you're treated to a magnificent sight - the Walton Lighthouse. Being able to witness the breathtaking sunset from this beach, with the lighthouse as a backdrop, is truly unforgettable.

Overall, I highly recommend Blacks Beach as an ideal local spot for relaxation, scenic walks, delectable dining, and experiencing the wonders of nature. It's a place that offers a little something for everyone and holds countless cherished...

You can also see Walton Lighthouse from here as well. ...

I would come back for sure, but if you want to surf the break, I hope you have better timing than I did. Looks like 4 people in the launching area was two too many...
