El Rosal Bakery has amazing tamales and bakery items as well as all the awesome things they carry here.
They make tamales that have been very popular in Santa Cruz. Lots of people come here to get their tamales. They make them fresh and they are super tasty. They have several types to choose from.
They also carry exclusive chips that are not the same as the regular bag of Doritos you get at 7-11. These have way more cheese flavor and they have a little kick to them. Don’t believe me? Try them for yourself.
They carry Piñatas for kid's parties and customized kid's cakes for that special day. The bakery items are amazing and they have a pretty large selection to choose from.
They have lots of brands you can’t find in the regular grocery store. Like Abuelita chocolate for making hot cocoa. Also, La Rosa tortillas and tostadas shells. They have dried chilies for making sauces and real Coca Cola in the bottle. Jarritos too - I think they carry every flavor available.
They have lots of specialty items. Definitely check them out next time you’re in the...
Read moreHow is it that I've walked by this place so many times and not gone in until now? I've sure been missing out. As a young kid I used to go to the pandarias with my grandparents in San Jose (I'm 50% Mexican). The soaps, candies, piñatas, cheese, sodas, hot tamales... if you're familiar with real Mexican markets, you'll know exactly what I mean. However, no Taqueria or freshly fried chicharones. But walk out with a few tamales, some pan dulce, a cup of Mexican hot chocolate, and a colorful piñatas and you won't even be thinking about carnitas burritos. But if you are, I...
Read moreMy first time visiting the store was probably going to be my only time. I went in to buy some Mexican sweet bread. I picked 6 pieces. Nothing fancy. I paid 14.00 I though a little pricey. Upon check-out the cashier was not very polit, and considering you're in a customer service based business, you might want be polite. I said good morning, and she didn't acknowledge my greeting. If you can't greet your customer with a great smile when they're buying your product, you're probably going to lose some of those customers. Finally after getting back home to have some sweet bread with coffee I can say it's not worth the price. Bad service and average tasting to sweet bread, & a bit pricey, well not...
