Kazakhstan Central Concert Hall — Attraction in Astana

Nice venue, great architecture but they need to manage the temperature a little better. It was pretty warm when we went for the Hans Zimmer performance in September 2022. No air conditioning that we could see, or feel & over 2 hours feeling very warm in a short sleeved shirt is not ideal. The performance was excellent but sadly let down by the sound quality, specifically the unwanted feedback from the speakers. The noise you get when a mobile phone is held too near a speaker. During quiet parts it was consistent. I'm not sure whether this affects all performances but it was certainly distracting during this one. Performers phones should be off & thisnshould be sorted in sound check. Also you're not allowed to take drinks in to the auditorium, which would be fine if the temperature was...

An amazing modern concert hall. With seats for a lot of people.. but they should fire whoever came up with that coat hanging desk.. It requiers a lot of queing. Wich is not something the kazach culture is used to in my experience. After the concert. Just have a drink and wait for that (litterarly) golden horde to grab their coats. And save...

We went to a concert there last week. Excellent. Yerkesh Shakeyev was the main attraction. The Astana orchestra was very good. Included in the concert was a British pianist Oliver Poole, an accordion player from Italy and trumpet player Vadim Eilenkrig from Russia. Yorkshire wrote all the music that was played.
