From a nice complimentary drink to an excellent interior design, we were certainly impressed with Navat when we first sat down. However, the overall experience did left us with mixed emotions. While the food was okay, especially since it was not expensive, it was also not great. Kattama was tasty but it could have used some salt, and maybe cut back on fat. Vegetarian laghman was okay, but while I asked for it to have a spicy sauce alongside it, they forgot it. They did say that it would take an hour to make the plov for my friends, which just sounded extreme to us all. Ultimately, while we all did enjoy our evening, I am not entirely sure if we would go back anytime soon. My Jusan Card proved to be an issue in their machines as well, and after eating around in almost 200 spots in Kazakhstan I for one am surprised to see that this could be the case. In any case, it is not a bad place to visit, but for pescatarians/vegetarians like me, there are much better spots out there, and my meat eating buddies did not necessarily love their meaty dishes as well, though they...

There was a full menu in English so I didn't have to use Google translate for the first time since arriving in Kazakhstan 2.5 weeks ago. The waitress was lovely and she spent time explaining different dishes to me, pouring the tea correctly and explaining what she was doing. The restaurant decor is lovely too. I'd definitely recommend it if you are looking for a relaxed vibe...

We ordered dishes, I ordered veal in a frying pan, my wife chicken breast, the waiter did not warn that the chicken would take longer to arrive than usual. As a result, the meat was brought quickly, and we waited another half hour for the chicken breast. After 10 minutes, we asked where the dish was, one waiter said that the dish was cooked longer than usual (like 35 minutes). After 10 minutes, we asked again, another waiter said that the dish was cooked for 45 minutes🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ They just made excuses and justified themselves. Then they said that they would bring it in two minutes. After 10 minutes, they brought it. We do not...
